LIST OF CLASSES FOR POINTS SHOWS 2010

 

Ring 1  

Equitation  9.30am Start 

Class 1  Best Turned out (open) 

Class 2  Junior Style and Appearance 17yrs and under, inc Mountain & Moorland (lead rein permitted) Age as of 1st Jan 2010                          

   Please note Snaffle Bridles only in classes 3, 4, 5, 6 &  8 inclusive 

All Equitation classes will be judged on riding ability alone and competitors will not be  required to jump.   

Class 3  Junior Equitation, 14 to 17yrs on 1st Jan 2010

Class 4  Cradle Equitation, 11yrs and under on 1st Jan 2010       

Class 5  Nursery Equitation, 12yrs to 13yrs on 1st Jan 2010  

Class 6  Lead rein Equitation, Rider under 9yrs on 1st Jan 2010

Class 7  Senior Style and Appearance inc M&M, rider over 17yrs

Class 8   Senior Equitation. Rider over 17yrs

Class 9  Novice Horse/Pony or Rider. Class to be judged on the ability of Horse/Pony/Rider for the age/ level they are at.

 An ideal class for getting an inexperienced Horse/Rider used to competition. Open age and height.

Class 10 Tiny Tots. Lead Rein. Pony not to exceed 128cms. Rider under 6yrs on 1st Jan 2010

Class 11 Junior Capability. Rider under 16yrs on 1st Jan 2010. may be required to mount/dismount/pick up feet/ lead etc.

Class 12  Novelty Class. Points. Class to change each show eg; Bonny Pony/Nicest Trot etc. In Hand or Ridden.

 

  Style and appearance will be judged on:

 Phase one - the turnout of horse/pony and rider 50 marks Phase two - freestyle show not exceeding 2 minutes 50 marks  Movements to be included in a freestyle show in an area not more than 40m x 60m. Halt. Walk on  long rein. Ordinary trot serpentine. Canter a circle on both reins and an extended canter on the Diagonal. Lead rein ponies will not be required to perform any movements in canter.   

 

Ring 2

Showing - 10.00am Start  (Please note that there are some changes to the classes in Ring 2)

Class 13  Lead Rein Show-Pony/Show Hunter, not to exceed 12.2hh Rider under 9yrs on 1st Jan 2010.(CHAPS Qualifier for highest placed coloured on qualifying dates)

Class 14  First Ridden - Pony not to exceed 12.2hh. Rider under 12 years on 1st  Jan 2010. (CHAPS Qualifier for highest placed coloured on qualifying dates)

Class 15  Mountain and Moorland Lead Rein Pony. Rider under 9yrs on 1st Jan 2010         

 Class 16  First Ridden Mountain and Moorland Rider under 12yrs on 1st Jan 2010 

Class 17  Riding Pony- Not exceeding 14.2hh Rider under 17 yrs  on 1st Jan 2010

Class 18  Palomino, Spotted, Dun or Roan. Open age, Height

Class 19  Mountain and Moorland Small Breeds, Rider any age. 

Class 20  Show Pony 14.2hh and under. Rider any age. . 

Class 21  Pony of Show Hunter Type. 15hh and under. Rider any age. 

                             Lunch Break (Class 22 will not commence before 2pm)

Class 22     Ridden Coloured, Native/Non Native/Cob/Traditional (Open). CHAPS UK QUAL  on qualifying dates.

Class 23   . Ridden Arab,  Pure Part And Anglo. (Class to be split)

Class 24     Ridden Show Cob/ Traditional Cob. Open to Show Cobs and Hairies (Not for M&M's.

Class 25     Horse of Hunter type Over 15hh. Rider any age

Class 26     Ridden Veteran. 15yrs and over. (CHAPS Qualifier for highest placed coloured on qualifying dates)

 Class 27     Riding Horse/Show Horse. Mare or Gelding 4yrs old and over, exceeding 148cms  Rider any age . 

Class  28    Mountain and Moorland Large Breeds, Rider any age

Class  29   Competition/Sport Horse over 14.2hh Rider any age 

Class 30    Ridden Non British. Open to all foreign breeds. Open age/height.   

Class 31     Ridden Heavy Horse e.g. Pure/Part Bred Draught/Shire/Clydesdale etc.

      

Ring 3

Working Hunter Clear Round 11.30 till 12.00pm

12.00pm Start. Working Hunter              

 Class 32  Novice Working Hunter. (Trophy to Winner). Open age/height . (not a points class) 

Class 33 Working Hunter not exceeding 133cms. Rider not under 14yrs Birthday on 1st January in the current year. Maximum height of fences 2 ft 3ins 

Class 34 Working Hunter exceeding 133cms but  not exceeding 143cms. Rider under 16yrs on 1st January in the current year. Maximum height of fences 2ft 9ins 

Class 35  Mountain and Moorland, riders any age. Max height of fences, Small Breeds 2ft 3ins Large Breeds  2ft 6in 

Class 36  Working  Hunter exceeding 143cms but not exceeding 153cms.  Rider any age, max height of fences 2ft 11in   

Class 37 Senior Novice Working Hunter. horses exceeding 153cms. Rider any age.                                                           

Riding Club Horse/Pony 

Class 38     Riding Club Ponies. Mare or Gelding 4 yrs old and over, not exceeding 148cms. Rider any age. 

Class 39     Riding Club Horses. Mare or Gelding 4 yrs old and over, exceeding 148cms. Rider any age.  

Riding Club Pony to be Judged on the suitability of Horses and Ponies for all club activities.

Competitors may be asked to jump 2 fences.

Maximum Height - Ponies 2ft Horses 2ft 3ins. 

Class 40   Working Hunter, exceeding 153cms, Rider any age. Max height of fences 3ft 3ins

Class 43     Best Condition, 14.2hh and under.

Class 44     Pure and Part Bred Welsh

Class 45     14.2 and under showing

Class 46   Arabs, pure, part or Anglo

Class 47   Veterans, 15 years and over (CHAPS Qualifier for highest placed coloured on qualifying dates)

Class 48   Best condition over 14.2hh

Class 49  Coloured, Native/Non Native/Cob/Traditional CHAPS UK Qual on qualifying dates.

Class 50  Shetland

Lunch Break

 

Class 51A Miniature Horse. Open. (Not Shetland) Judged on BMHA criteria

Class 51    Horse of Hunter Type, 15hh and over

Class 52   Child Handler. Handler under 12yrs. Judged on the Childs ability to show the pony.

Class 53    Young Handler, handler  13 to 16 yrs

Class 54   Mountain and Moorland, Small breeds, to be shown in natural state. 

Class 55    Pony of Show Hunter Type 15hh and under.

Class 56   Mountain and Moorland, Large breeds, to be shown in natural state.

Class 57    Over 14.2hh Showing

Class 58  In Hand Cob/Heavy Horse e.g Pure/Part Bred Draught/Shire/Clydesdale etc.

Class 59   Palomino, Spotted, Dun or Roan.

Class 60   In Hand competition/sport horse over 14.2hh   

 

Ring 1

Show Jumping 11 am Start (Please note SJ classes are held on different days from Showing/WH classes)

Clear round 10am to 11am. Last entry 10.45am   

Class 61   Junior novice. Not exceeding 70cms in first round. Genuine Novices only please.    

Class 62   Junior Warm up. Rider under 17yrs. Not exceeding 75cms in first round.

Class 63    Junior Intermediate. 14.2hh and under. Rider under 17 yrs. Heights not exceeding 85cms in first round. 

Class 64   Junior Open. 14.2hh and under, rider under 17yrs. Heights not exceeding 90cms in first round.

Seniors not before 2pm

Class 65   Senior novice. Not exceeding 75cms Genuine Novices only please.  

Class 66  Senior Warm Up. Not exceeding 80cms in first round. 

Class 67  Senior  Intermediate. Horses Ex 14.2hh. Heights not exceeding 90cms in first round.

Class 68   Senior Open. Horses Ex 14.2hh. Heights not exceeding 95cms in first round.
